Aquarium and Zoo
Adapted from Yellow Submarine by Val Sherwood April 07

In the town where I was born, was an Aquarium I loved to see;
And it taught me about life, in the deep and briny sea.

Tank of Blue, Sea of Green, the best Aquarium you’ve ever seen.

Chorus We all work @ the Aquarium & Zoo
We have a museum too, at the Aquarium & Zoo
We all work at the Aquarium and Zoo,
And we love, love, love, what we do! What we do!

And we live a life of ease, enjoying every Bermuda breeze
And we love what we do; many more of us care deeply too.
There’s turtles to be scrubbed, and gardens to be dug,
And sometimes an animal just needs…a …hug !
There’s lettuce for the lemurs, and mackerel for the seals,
And if you’ve ever noticed, they never miss a meal.
There’s displays of every kind, and one called Local Tails
They keep a hive of bees there, and lots of slimy snails

Tank of Blue, Sea of Green, the best Aquarium you’ve ever seen!

Chorus We all love our Aquarium & Zoo
We know you love it too, our Aquarium & Zoo
We all love our Aquarium and Zoo,
And we love, love, love, what you do! What you do!

Rap Hope you’re not afraid of spiders ‘cos the bugs in there are real
They’ve got all kinds of squishy things that you can touch and feel.
Got peacocks in our pantry, flamingoes in our yard,
We’re trying to convince ya that we work really hard.
We’re cleaning out the tanks, we’re seeing to the ranks,
Feeding all the troops, lots of salads, lots of soups!
So watch out for those bugs; they’re called “invertebrates”
They’re not nice to their friends - some even eat their mates!

Split pea, sweet pea, wounded by humanity; I hope u’ll stay here forever with me!

Tank of Blue, sea of green, the best aquarium you’ve ever seen!

Double chorus to end – “Join in too!”
